String Orchestra IV

String Orchestra IV is an advanced ensemble class, which is the final class in our orchestra sequence. Here, students are exposed to advanced rhythms, time signatures, tonal centers, playing techniques, expression and more. This course contains a continued emphasis on music literacy, instrumental proficiency, and the impact music has on us and our community. String Orchestra III coursework is aligned with the NYS Music Standards. This course offers students the opportunity to perform in both the Winter and Spring Concerts. If students complete Orchestra I-IV, and an additional Music elective, they will have the opportunity to earn an Arts Endorsed Advanced Regents Diploma.
