Theatre IV
Advanced Acting and Directing (Production) - This is the senior level theatre course at Maspeth High School. This class is designed for students interested in an advanced level of theatrical practice and who have a working knowledge of performance, production, and technical theatre. This course is a production based course, meaning most assessments and major grades will be determined by your role within a larger production. This course aims to simulate the practical jobs and elements that exist within actual theatre companies. We will begin with exploring the different roles and jobs that exist. Each student will then interview and be assigned a job/role within our class theatre company. We will work towards performances that will be shared with other students and administrators. Your work WILL be shared with the larger school community, so constant engagement and participation is required of EVERY student
