Spanish I

An introductory course on the basics of the Spanish language:

Students will be introduced to the Spanish language and culture by hands-on activities. They will also have the chance to practice their acquired language by interacting with one another and the teacher. Students will be part of TBR (Total Body Response) activities where the goal is to test the students’ understanding of the Spanish vocabulary for a particular unit. In their everyday learning, students will put their reading comprehension, critical thinking and other skills into practice. Students will be expected to demonstrate their understanding via writing, reading and speaking. The ultimate goal of this course is to teach the students the four skills of acquiring a language: reading, speaking, listening and writing. At the same time, my goal is to enhance the skills they use in other subject areas and in real life scenarios. Finally I wish to foment the love and respect towards other cultures while learning about them.
