Latin I

An introductory course on the basics of the Latin language:

Students will learn elementary grammar and vocabulary skills in order to read and interpret Latin texts about Roman society, culture, mythology, and history. Students will be expected to demonstrate their understanding via writing, reading and speaking.  Topics will include the Roman family, Roman history and mythology, and English derivatives.  Projects will include research, art projects and video projects.  Each lesson will include new vocabulary, grammar and culture in context.
