Calculus
Calculus covers the differentiation and integration of functions. The focus of study includes limits, continuity, derivatives, implicit differentiation, related rates, applications of derivatives, antidifferentiation, techniques of integration, differential equations, and applications of antidifferentiation. Students will strengthen their problem-solving skills, mathematical fluency and conceptual understanding through the exploration of differentiation and integration and its real-world applications. This course is designed to give students the skills to use Calculus in the sciences, social sciences, engineering, business and computer science fields. It also provides an excellent foundation for further work in Calculus. This course is affiliated with St. John’s University. Students may be eligible for college credits from St. John’s University.
