On Thursday, June 7th, Maspeth High School's staff headed north to Rhinebeck, NY to spend the final Chancellor's Conference Day of the 2017-18 school year at Camp Ramapo. Returning to the site nearly four years after our first visit, MHS staffers enjoyed a day of fresh air, competitive problem solving, team building and reflection.
At Camp Ramapo all activities are challenge by choice, and many MHS staffer took this to heart by braving high ropes courses - with a little help from their colleagues. AP Healy commented, "It was a really positive day in which everyone pushed themselves to step up in one way or another - some people took on a leadership role during the group challenges, whereas others pushed themselves to overcome their fear. I'm really proud of the work everyone put in today and we're all really thankful to Principal Abdul for the opportunity."
