New School Garden Honors A Special Friend

We joined students and staff from the John F. Kennedy school to plant this special garden. This project honors Pat Watson, who was a leader in keeping our school green and beautiful. You can now see new garden beds and a hand-painted sign at the school. We are proud to work together to keep her memory alive through these new plants.

Notes for families:

  • What is a Pollinator Garden? It is a garden filled with flowers that help bees and butterflies.

  • Working Together: This project was a team effort between Maspeth High School and our neighbors at the John F. Kennedy school (Q721).

  • Visit the Space: Next time you are at the school, look for the new metal garden beds and the colorful sign painted by Ms. McGlone.
