Maspeth High's National Honor Society President Receives Full Scholarship

Xiao Ying Rong Receives Full Scholarship to Princeton University through QuestBridge
 
Maspeth High School senior Xiao Ying (Roamy) Rong has been admitted to Princeton University with a full four-year QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship. On receiving news of the scholarship, Roamy said, “Guys, I think I just got accepted to Princeton!.” This year, QuestBridge’s 55 college partners matched with 2,550 Finalists, who are recognized as Match Scholarship Recipients. 
 
Beyond her impressive academic achievements, Roamy has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in various capacities. As the President of the National Art Honor Society, she has shown her ability to inspire and motivate her peers, leading projects that highlight the importance of creativity and expression in our school community. Furthermore, her role as a member of the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, where she serves as a Mathematics tutor, showcases her passion for helping others while reinforcing her own knowledge in the subject.
 
Each Match Scholarship Recipient receives early admission and a full four-year scholarship to a QuestBridge college partner, ensuring for these students and their families that an education at a top college is affordable. The Match Scholarship — provided by the school — is made up of a generous financial aid package that covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel expenses.
