Maspeth High School Visits NY State Capitol Building

On Wednesday, March 13, Maspeth High School students visited the New York State Capitol building in Albany, NY.  Led by Ms. Jawaid, Mr. Powell, and Mr. Matos, student members of the Student Government Association, Junior States of America, Latin American Student Organization, Yearbook, and Media Productions Team, enjoyed a day in our state's capital. Maspeth High School parent, Ms. Georgijevski, joined the group on the day-long trip 
The day began with an official recognition of Maspeth High School in the New York State Assembly Chamber at the request of Assemblyman Brian Barnwell.
Majority Leader Crystal People-Stokes introduced Maspeth High School's students.  Her introduction was followed by remarks by Speaker Pro-Tem Hon. Jeffrion Aubrey.
While in the Assembly Chamber, MHS' presence was acknowledged by Assembly Members Andrew Hevesi, Clyde Vanel and Jose Rivera.
