Dear Maspeth Families,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! It has been a pleasure meeting and greeting your children this week. Rest assured that they are in good hands within a school community that embraces diversity and individuality.
As a mother of three, I know what it means to want the very best for your child when you send them to school each day: You hope they receive high-level instruction, you hope they feel welcome and cared for by staff in the building, and you hope they make good friends who treat them well. This is the culture we have at Maspeth High School; one that prioritizes student success, moral character, positive relationships and safety.
Maspeth High School is a community made up of talented educators, an exceptional curriculum of classical as well as culturally relevant pieces, and an abundance of clubs and athletic teams. Please encourage your child to get involved! Our community is our family away from home, and the Maspeth staff will make every effort to get to know your child academically and personally.
Families, I look forward to collaborating with you to ensure your child’s education and success. Please engage in opportunities to meet with me and your child’s teachers, attend family events, and be an active presence at PTA meetings.
