Parent Teacher Association

SALVE!!!  We would like to welcome you, the parents of Maspeth High School students, to come and participate in our Parent Teacher Association meetings.  We are an organization comprised of parents and teachers who are dedicated to the success of our children and Maspeth High School as a whole.

We understand that as parents, you have a full schedule, but meeting with us is easy.  We meet once a month!  At our meetings, we will provide you with student information, school information, upcoming events etc.  At times, we will ask for volunteers for specific events throughout the year, and so, with advanced notice, we hope you will come join us.

Please click on the calendar to see our next scheduled meeting.

Sincerely,

Maspeth High School Parent Teacher Association

Parent Association/Parent Teacher Association (PA/PTA)

Each New York City Department of Education school is required to have a Parent Association or a Parent teacher Association (PA/PTA). All parents, step-parents, legally appointed guardians, foster parents and persons in parental relation are automatically members of their school’s PA/PTA.

Officers of a PA/PTA are responsible for the PA/PTA budget, events and activities. PA/PTAs can support schools by raising funds, hosting parent workshops or meetings, organizing festivals, dances or social events for families, and can help schools connect with parents through updates and volunteer opportunities.

The Parent and Parent Teacher Associations page   has forms, templates for fliers and letters, access to webinars and links to the Chancellor's Regulations.
